- Coordinates training programs at the refinery by working with department representatives and external vendors to schedule and provide quality training classes ensuring customer needs and regulatory requirements are met.
- Works with employees, leaders and various subject matter experts to identify training needs.
- Manages the Work Day learning management system to record training history of Instructor Lead Training and to deploy Computer Based Training (CBT’s) and ensure training content is reviewed and approved at required intervals to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Work closely with Human Resources and site training coordinators to ensure site training is delivered to the right people, at the right time, and in the prescribed intervals to meet all regulatory, corporate, site or job required training needs.
- Develops and manages site training budget.
- Member of the Refinery Training Element Team.
- Responsible for updating training policies in compliance with corporate training standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepares orientation on programs for new hourly employees, including the Basic Operator Training (BOT).
- High school diploma or GED is required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Training, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Engineering or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years refining experience preferred.
