Overview
The Training Specialist will assist in supporting training projects. This will include design and development of training procedural manuals, guides, and course materials for in-person or online delivery. The Training Specialist also supports training by leading workshops, on-site training sessions or eLearning sessions.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in developing training programs and curriculum that address specific business needs:
- New employee training
- Departmental cross training
- On-line training
- Assist in conducting seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions
- Assist in the tracking and documenting both internal and external training of employees utilizing the training method and system provided and report results to management.
- Maintain records of training sessions given, topics covered.
- Evaluate effectiveness and suggest improvements to the current training program(s)
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
- Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or a minimum of 4 years related work experience in lieu of degree
- APTD or SHRM-CP preferred
- 3-5 of training experience including platform/presentation skills, previous training material preparation, development and experience in Retail preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite required
