PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Leadership skills
- Ability to communicate with others in a cordial and understanding manner
- Able to prepare fixture concept designs, prepare detail drawings for machining, and prefer experience in designing sheet metal dies with minimal supervision.
- Creativity
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- Preference of machining experience
- Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Knowledge of ISO/Quality systems.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Main hours of work, 5 days a week / 8 hours shifts
EQUIPMENT USED FOR JOB:
Computer, calculator, blue prints, fax machine, copy machine, pens and pencils.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical demands will require sitting at a desk, writing, and standing at print board. Correctable 20/20 vision and hearing abilities required. Occasional demands include driving, kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping and carrying up to 50 pounds.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Propose and/or develop new design concepts for estimating.
- Design fixtures, detail drawings, and review 3D data upon contract award.
- Work closely with estimator to assist on quotes and design within budgeted parameters.
- Have the ability to communicate with customers and internal staff on design questions.
- Revise and checks design.
- Follow basic parameters and principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, as required.
- Work to customer drawing standards.
- Have understanding of manufacturing processes and tool room equipment function.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
- Additional duties as requested.
You have the freedom, responsibility and authority to: a) initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality system; b) identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system; c) initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels; d) verify the implementation of solutions; e) control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected; f) represent the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing QS-9000 requirements (e.g. selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives, training, corrective & preventive actions, product design and development).
