As a Tool Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing tools and equipment for our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities- Design and develop tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing processes.
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for tooling components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing requirements and provide innovative tooling solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for tooling projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in tool design.
- Perform testing and validation of tooling designs to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling design processes and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tooling designs, changes, and revisions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in tooling technology and industry trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tool Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for tool design and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to tool design.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Salary info:
