Tool Room Assistant:
Pay rate: $17-20
Schedule:
- Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 11am-7pm
- Regular Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3pm-11:30pm
Job Duties:
- Responsible for assisting the Tool & Die Maker with repair, maintenance, calibration, construction, and set-up of various die tooling and related equipment throughout the plant.
- Inform, record, report as required or appropriate.
- Responsible for the safe operation, organization, and assisting with maintenance of all Tool Room equipment.
- Assist Tool & Die Maker to troubleshoot, carry out preventative maintenance as scheduled / required on various types of tooling and related equipment to minimize downtime, ensure efficiency, and comply with certification programs.
- Conduct all work activities in a manner that is supportive of team effort and promotes the company’s operational visions, values, and goals.
- Complete work assignments in a timely, accurate, and safe manner in accordance with the standards required through the company.
- Participate in the company’s health, safety, environmental, and operational programs through.
- Adherence to all rules and regulations.
- Participation in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned from time-to-time by the Tool & Die Maker, Plant Manager, or his/her designee/s.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience in metalwork environment a big plus
- Machine operation experience desirable
- Mechanical/Electrical skills desirable
- Ability to solve problems.
- Attention to detail.
- Desire to produce quality products.
- Exhibit full range of motion in all extremities.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. without difficulty.
