Job Description

- Reads and interpret blueprints, Interprets both verbal or written instructions, and can fabricate a component by determining the required specifications
- Perform, setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of materials and cutting tools, tolerances, coolants, lubricants, and machine tool feeds and speeds
- Determines specifications for inspection of work performed
- Use precision measuring and gaging tools to perform required inspections before, during and after machining
- Set-up and operate all tool room equipment (i.e. grinding, milling, lathe)
- Troubleshooting of tools, and record keeping of all tool development activity
- When necessary use CAD software
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of clutter and safety hazards
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment
- Journeyman’s Tool and Die Maker’s card of certification is a plus
- Equivalent combination of aptitude, education, certification and or experienced body of knowledge that will meet our requirements.
- CAD training and experience, preferably with Solid Works or other solid modeling software
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent communication skills, team skills, and can interface directly with the customer to resolve issues
- Excellent visual accuracy, basic Math skills are required
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Must be able to maintain an excellent attendance record
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Keen eye for detail
