Tool Maker

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage the production tooling of Danville, KY facility, including tooling review participation, repair analysis, tool maintenance, continual improvement, root cause analysis and communication. Ensure tooling is production ready and available. Act as an overall leader on the production floor activities through problem solving, root cause analysis, training, and review of Danville policies and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and approve all repair and maintenance, daily cleaning, and overall function of the tools through daily walk through on the production floor.
• Manage the PM of tooling and tooling-related equipment.
• Manage the tooling repairs for Danville through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Plan and hold consistent discussions throughout the week at planned times and intervals.
• Identify, monitor, and reduce non-essential costs for manufacturing.
• Ensure all implemented policies are followed daily.
• Communicate with the floor personnel on changes or issues related to this job scope.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the manufacturing area.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATIONAL & TRAINING:

• At least (5) years of injection molding / tooling experience preferred

MINIMUM LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Ability to uphold oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical skills
• Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving.
• In-depth understanding of tooling principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
