Weyerhaeuser's Timberlands Finance organization is looking for a high-energy, Finance and Accounting professional to fill our Timberlands Finance Analyst role. In this position, you will support the Timberlands Finance and Planning organization at the segment level through the development and maintenance of Timberland financial reports and metrics and performing financial analysis in collaboration with your finance and business partners. We improve the financial results of the business with timely, accurate, and business decision oriented financial analysis. In this role, you will be an integral part of Weyerhaeuser's Timberland Finance group.
Reporting to the Timberlands Segment, Finance Operations Manager, this position is based at Weyerhaeuser's Corporate Headquarters located in the heart of Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle in a hybrid office and remote work arrangement. Although this role does not require routine travel, there may be occasional travel to other Weyerhaeuser offices for business.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and support current and future state Timberlands financial reports, data, and key measures across our suite of information systems
- Support ownership and maintenance of the Timberlands financial planning and reporting applications across the segment
- Support preparation of presentations supporting monthly business reviews, senior management meetings, and board of director meetings
- Support the monthly forecast and annual budgeting process through consolidation and analysis of information across the segment
- Champion data driven analysis by performing analysis for our various Timberland operating divisions and across business lines as needed
- Support the development, maintenance and governance of standard timberlands financial planning processes and systems in collaboration with finance and business partners
- Continuously push to improve our financial analysis, deliverables, and processes
- Participate in other projects as time allows
- Collaborate with various departments including Finance, Accounting, and Information Technology to identify and implement improvements in the effectiveness of systems, processes, and reporting across the segment
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or Forestry.
Experience: We place an emphasis on our candidates' skills and drive to get the job done.
- We require 3-5+ years of experience in finance, business analysis, accounting, or forestry.
- Strong analytical skills are required, including a firm understanding of critical financial concepts such as net present value and internal rate of return.
- Strong technical skills are required including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - including use of pivot tables, management of complex data sets and data modeling.
- Experience using SAP, Microsoft PowerBI, PowerPoint, SQL, analytics, process automation or Timberlands specific systems is a plus.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working effectively with a diverse set of internal and external clients. Consistent high-quality written and oral communication skills required, capable of communicating complex and detailed subject matter in a clear and concise manner.
Time & Project Management: We are looking for someone with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects for different audiences.
Compensation : This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $70,830 - $106,245 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation : We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
