Rate of Pay: Proctors: $33.50/hour
Monitors: $26.50/hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
The Testing Proctor will support the testing functions of the Assessment & Analytics Department, administering and proctoring exams, monitoring students in testing rooms, and ensuring the security of exams before and after completion. Proctors must be aware of the materials or equipment test takers may use during the testing period. Proctors verify that the right examinees are present in the room by checking their identification. Proctors make sure that the examinees include all necessary information, such as their names, on the test. Proctors typically dismiss the examinees and organize the test papers. Proctors are responsible for test security and must complete all administrative forms for the test that they supervise

Role and Responsibilities
Duties of a proctor and room monitor include, but are not limited to the following:
- Interact with examinees;
- Assist Proctor and/or Testing Specialist with test administration;
- Assist in checking in or seating examinees;
- Follow all written and oral directions provided by the Testing Specialist;
- Organize, distribute and collect all test materials as directed;
- Maintain test security to ensure confidentiality, the integrity of test materials, and test procedures;
- Lift or transport test materials to/from testing room;
- Maintain a professional and pleasant atmosphere to create an environment for optimal test performance for all examinees.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be able to provide excellent, professional customer service and possess strong people skills.
- Have the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and follow written instructions.
- Work in a team atmosphere with frequent interruptions.
- Uphold the confidentiality and integrity of all exams.
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proctors must be comfortable with dealing with difficult people and situations.
- Reliability is essential; proctors must be on time and dependable.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
