Job Title: Test Equipment Planner, Associate
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 Months Extendable contract
Job Description: General Summary:
Provide logistics support to the engineering and manufacturing staff. Responsible for inventory, distribution, coordination, and maintenance of all measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) used by engineering and manufacturing personnel.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure M&TE compliance to ISO9001 procedures and company quality policies.
Work with Program Management and project engineers in the selection of their M&TE, and recommend alternative solutions when needed to meet M&TE requirements.
Create material requisitions for equipment, parts, and tools to support engineering and manufacturing personnel.
Interface with vendors and sales engineers regarding Test Equipment, tools, and services, as directed by supervisor.
Conduct monthly inventory of all Test Equipment and reconcile M&TE missing from inventory.
Verify M&TE availability and negotiate optimal utilization of existing organizations inventory.
Schedule timely calibration and repair of the Test Equipment inventory.
Required Competencies: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Databases, and electronic requisition systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in planning and coordinating or 1-2 years of progressive experience at the TE Planner Assoc. level. Certificate from a certified trade school in Electronics Technology is preferred as well as completion of entry level AC/DC Electronics or equivalent course at either a local junior college or university. Some Test Equipment knowledge preferred.
