We are currently seeking a LeadElectronic Technician III that is tasked with troubleshooting and repairing electronic test and measurement equipment.Responsibilities
- Responsible for organization of repair laboratory.
- Coordinates daily equipment inspections and manages repair equipment in Met/Team database.
- Assists laboratory technicians with technical problems and issues during incoming and outgoing inspections of rental equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
- Provides support to the sales team and technical support team for any technical issues or difficulties the customers may have.
- Designs and develops new calibration and test fixtures or cables when required.
- Recognizes failures and setup problems, isolates problems, and takes appropriate action to resolve those problems.
- Ensures rental equipment is repaired in a timely manner for fleet readiness.
- Determines customer damage of equipment when applicable.
- Conducts testing of equipment to ensure proper operation per established test criteria.
- Troubleshoots electronic components down to component level to determine cause and remedy.
- Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems to determine root cause of issue and recommend a corrective action.
- Operates oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital multi-meters, power meters and test fixtures.
- Trains technicians and admin personnel when needed or requested by Lab Manager.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of OHMS law and electronic theory.
- Experience in through hole and surface mount soldering.
Experience
72 6 Years (Minimum)- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in electronic repair, maintenance of electronic test and measurement equipment.
Education
Associate Degree Required- Minimum of an Associate degree in an electronic discipline preferred.
