Fabricate and maintain specialized equipment designed to perform testing on battery cells, modules, packs, and related components under electrical, mechanical, and thermal stresses.
What You’ll Do- Strong sense of safety consciousness in lab and workshop setting. Experience in high voltage, flammable materials, hazardous materials, chemical hazards or related.
- Experience with tools measuring voltage, current, resistance, and recording with data acquisition systems. Troubleshoot data acquisition systems and sensors.
- Knowledge of electrical circuitry, soldering, using wiring tools (cutters, strippers, crimpers)
- Experience with machine tools (mill, lathe, bandsaw, grinders, welding)
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Maintain Test Equipment and data collection tools, perform periodic maintenance, calibration, repairs
- Collaborate with other teams on sample build, preparation, and instrumentation • Follow and edit standard operating procedures
- Detail oriented, proactive, and intentional with day-to-day tasks. Constantly thinking about ways to improve a design and communicate feedback & insights.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in lab/field/workshop setting
- Measurements and recording: scopes and meters, current sensors
- Experience recording and reporting data via Microsoft Excel
- Knowledgeable about or experience working with power electronics
- Experience working with lithium-ion batteries, lead acid batteries, or other types of batteries
- Experience building/bringing up a new lab and new lab equipment

$24.00 - $65.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
