This full-time, 9-month exempt academic director position is located in Dillingham's Bristol Bay Campus and will enjoy summers off. The students served are adult learners who need help earning their GED, gaining online computer competency, and preparing employment documents. The service area includes all of Bristol Bay and village tutors may be hired. The program is funded by a state grant with reporting requirements.
This job may be for you if you believe not everyone learns in the same way and you would like to take the initiative in teaching adults who are trying to improve their lives. It requires computer skills to set up online student learning accounts and to track student progress. You meet people at their proficiency level and provide guidance & encouragement to help them meet the goals they have for themselves. To thrive in this role, applicants will have experience working with diverse groups of people and also have knowledge of grants and grant reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in education, Adult Education or a related field and relevant work experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Bristol Bay Campus in Dillingham. This is a full-time, 9-month academic director position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed at the Non-Union Faculty Grade 10, based on education and experience.
