The Delivery Driver Helper assists an SWDS driver in making deliveries to Sherwin Williams’s customers and stores located in a metropolitan area. This involves riding along with the driver in a truck/van to each delivery destination, helping to unload product at site locations, keeping a keen awareness to safety and security, and other duties as assigned.

How You'll perform the Role
- Assist in loading and unloading of all material set for delivery.
- Assist in contacting customers/stores prior to delivery/pick-up.
- Assist driver in adhering to safety procedures and traffic regulations.
- Assist in retaining proper customer signature and delivery photo, via handheld device.
- The Lumper works a varied schedule depending upon deliveries associated with customer orders. Typically, hours of work will begin at approximately 6:00 a.m. and end at approximately 3:00 p.m.
- Days of work may vary depending upon business volume and customer demands.
- Many hours may be spent riding in the passenger seat of a truck/van.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES/CAPABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0
- degrees.
- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
- May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete.
- Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as
- Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
- Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
- Must be able to operate a hand pallet jack, hand tuck or electronic pallet jack
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required: Valid driver's license
- Required: 2 years of experience working in the Sherwin-Williams Delivery Service and/or management, transportation/logistics, customer support
