JOB DESCRIPTION
The Legal, Compliance and Privacy Department seeks a per-time Contract Paralegal to support the team with tasks and duties crucial to the contracts process. The Contract Paralegal will work closely with the Sr. Contract Administrator to provide support for the various stages of the contract management process, including intake, assignment and triaging work based on various criteria, system maintenance, and execution of contracts. This person will also play a critical role in the administration of a contract database in direct support of the company's business strategy and activities. You should be a motivated self-starter and able to learn new skills quickly.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in the implementation of the contract management system (Ironclad) for EngageSmart.
- Monitor the procurement intake request tools (Zip) for contract review requests including the initial triage of new legal requests and collaboration with business owners.
- Archive executed contracts in Ironclad by reviewing the signed agreement and updating the contract properties to effectively capture key contract terms more effectively.
- Ensure contracts are reviewed, approved, and executed in accordance with the corporation's guidelines and policy.
- Administer contract expiration and renewal process; coordinate contract closeout activities, including terminations in Ironclad.
- Manage the contract signature inbox in outlook and route contract to designated signers.
- Assist in the training of Ironclad end users and respond to any workflow or process related questions about the tool.
- Assist with other legal projects and contract administration duties as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree
CONTRACT DURATION:
- 16 weeks
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working on contracts and assisting with other related legal support functions, preferably in a technology company.
- Previous experience using Zip or Ironclad is a plus.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Experience supporting an in-house legal department.
- Basic knowledge of contract law, types of contracts, terms and conditions, legal requirements, and the negotiation process.
- Experience managing contracts and ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures.
- Must be well informed about SaaS tools and proficient in the use of modern technology.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks in a productive manner.
- Must be detail oriented and have great interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly growing company.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining confidentiality with respect to agreement contents and other highly sensitive business matters and projects.
Base Compensation Range: ($33.00 to $38.00) per hour.
