Temporary CAU Head Hospitality Coordinator

Cornell's Adult University (CAU) is a division of Alumni Affairs and Development (AAD). CAU provides unique, intellectually robust, interactive on-campus and off-campus life-long learning opportunities for alumni, family, and friends. CAU builds and maintains relationships between alumni, faculty, and adult participants while offering unparalleled access to Cornell University research, scholarship, and instruction.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assist, prepare, plan, and coordinate staff for Cornell's Adult University (CAU) Summer program.
  • Oversee hospitality services for CAU guests, visitors, and faculty.
  • Work closely with the summer staff to ensure that guests' reception, provision of food and drinks, and other customer service requirements meet or exceed program expectations.
  • Develop welcome materials, purchases and distributes supplies, and coordinates extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor participant attendance at events, provides transportation services when needed, and assists the CAU staff with executing all planned events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older, able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must obtain Risk Management approval to drive Cornell Fleet vehicles

Pay Rate:

$25.50/hr
