The Logistics Coordinator position analyzes and coordinates the logistical functions of a firm or organization; assists in the life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.
Essential Functions
- Assists with planning and execution of New Customer Orders for SCI including logistical support and planning shipments against customer purchase orders
- Works closely with Procurement/Planning to effectively order material for jobs required by customer wanted date
- Maintain effective On-Time process of New Customer orders and delivery
- Works closely with Accounting to clarify/resolve any issues that arise with billing of customer orders
- Works closely with Technical Support Engineers when needed for defining problems, troubleshooting, and resolving product problems.
- Maintain record keeping systems
- Develop and implement shipping/invoicing procedures
- Assists in support of all other SAMSERV™ locations, making sure they have all needed material in a timely manner to fulfill customer orders
- Comply with Samson’s documented policies, procedures, and objectives
- Other duties as specified by management

Physical Demands
The employee is required to be able to sit, stand and kneel. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work
The “core” work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education & Experience
- High school Diploma/GED or Degree in technical discipline
- 1 or more years of related experience in order handling, customer service, procurement functions
