Role Title: Technology Program/Project Manager
Department Profile
Global Banking Technology (GBT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm's WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans and tailored lending. Position Description:
This position is for a Program/Project Manager within the our company's Wealth Management (WM) Global Banking Technology (GBT) organization reporting to the GBT PMO.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing a formal process for program and project management for strategic technology driven initiatives such as Data Lineage, Cloud Migration and improving our agile software development capabilities. The role requires the ability to coach and collaborate with technology teams and demonstrate the ability to act as a value-add partner for those teams.
Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop project plans and monitoring mechanisms for strategic technology driven initiatives by working directly with the technical leaders and their teams of those initiatives
* Coordinate activities for these initiatives to ensure the GBT department's timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Ensure technical leaders are interacting with dependent stakeholders effectively, including senior management
* Provide coaching, support, and guidance to the tech leads and their teams for managing their initiatives
* Bring a continuous improvement and MVP mindset to the team's work* Challenge and provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement to the teams practices.
* Produce monthly status reporting for Technical Driven initiatives for GBT management
* Produce monthly reporting for various governance forums and senior management.
Skills Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Information Technology
* Ability to develop, monitor and report on project and resource plans.
* Experience as a leader of large-scale agile projects using scrum and Kanban
* Superior written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines and objectives
* High level of attention to detail and focus on precision
* A minimum of five years of experience in financial services
* In depth knowledge of project management methodologies, best practices and technology processes
* Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to navigate complex organizations and build relationships
* Proficiency with collaboration tools and Jira, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word
Skills Desired:
* Experience migrating applications to the Cloud* Knowledge of DevOps
* Knowledge of data governance
* Understanding of technology principles and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms, and consumer facing technology
* Knowledge of banking products and services
* PMP or Prince2 Certification
