We are seeking a Technology Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA; Austin, TX; or St. Petersburg, FL office.
Job Summary
The Technology Procurement Specialist is key role within the Imprivata Procurement, IT, and Engineering organizations. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Procurement and dotted-line to the Vice President of IT, you will focus on driving value optimization, reducing the technology cost base, effectively contracting for critical products and services to drive efficiency, and innovation, and leading process improvement and modernization of the technology sourcing function. The Technology Procurement Specialist role will be responsible for managing the relationships between internal IT and Engineering clients and external 3rd party vendors. The position will administer the contracts with IT and Engineering for hardware, software, and services vendors; collect information about external marketplace (not limited to technology) and serves as a resource on this knowledge to the organizations; and provide information advice about procurement processes, negotiations, and contracts with options. This position will interact with 3rd party vendors to resolve escalated problems and plan for future releases of software, etc. This person needs to be highly skilled and accomplished in technology sourcing and contract negotiations in order to be considered. Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead technology sourcing events including RFx, benchmarking, sole supplier interactions, and complex technology contract negotiations for Engineering and IT.
- Gather and challenge clear requirements and demands as needed to align with market best practices through industry/market/vendor insights.
- Execute effective and aligned sourcing and negotiation strategies, leading cross-functional teams of varying levels of seniority.
- Lead vendor communication as single point of contact for the company to ensure best leverage and clarity both internally and externally.
- Project manage end to end sourcing process and contract negotiations against aggressive timelines, exhibiting the judgement necessary to balance speed, cost, and quality.
- Ensure supplier due diligence and performance monitoring is being performed correctly
- Contribute to process improvements and stakeholder education
- Assist in the establishment and achievement of realistic KPIs and measures to accurately reflect success and value add.
- Create Purchase Orders and manage all related documentation including legal/executive signatures, and all related documents are fully completed and imported into document repository.
- Manage Purchase Order tracking, escalation and reconciliation for IT and Engineering
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering and Finance on budget alignment and tracking as it relates to technology spend with IT and Engineering.
- Oversee 3rd party vendor invoice tracking, satisfaction, and ensure invoice payment in accordance with negotiated payment terms.
- Partner with IT on inventory management by utilizing IT system to provision hardware, software, etc.
- Partner with IT to manages New Team Member Provisioning/Deprovisioning Process as it is directly related to onboarding.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in IT or technology sourcing.
- Infrastructure, SaaS, and Cloud experience nice to have
- Skilled in contract negotiation, project management, stakeholder influence, process analysis and improvement
- World-class strategic negotiator and presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills for various audience level
- Self-motivated, independent individual contributor
- Excellent analytical skills to ensure that challenges and/or solutions are identified in an effective way
- Significant leadership experience working across and with a global organization of 1,000 or more team member
- Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment
- Strong business and IT acumen
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. and SAP or major ERP systems
- Good understanding of IT contracts, commercial terms/conditions and identifying/negotiating master agreement requirements, ability to identify engagement risk factors and ensure commercial contracts and legal agreements appropriately mitigate risk and protect Imprivata
This position offers a salary range of $72,800.00 to $91,800.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
