What you can look forward to as Technology Cost Engineer (m/f/d):
- Cost/tooling/investment/emission calculations (BPG/BPB/CEI/BPI) on component level
- Cost-Down workshops at the supplier (PPV improvement) and on-site validations
- Quote and Gap analysis as well as the development of gap closure recommendations
- Deep collaboration with Commodity Purchasing (e.g. demonstration and negotiation of Cost structures with suppliers; contribution to Sourcing board)
- Deep Support of PCEs (Product Cost Engineers) in component calc. (BPG/BPB/CEI/BPI) for design-to-cost, benchmarking, target achievement
- Definition and continuous development of a group wide technology knowledge base (reference processes, cost structure, development of tools e.g. quick calculators)
- Create and execute training technology for different stakeholders
- Sparring Partner of Commodity Purchasing and R&D on component level
Your profile as Technology Cost Engineer (m/f/d):
- Degree in (Industrial) Engineering science or comparable
- Minimum 3 years work experience in a responsibility suitable for Technology Cost Engineering (e.g.Production Engineering, Commodity Purchasing)
- Overall understanding of technology, systems and cost structures to suggest and judge cost improvements on component level
- Specific knowledge about Cost and Manufacturing Technologies in Steel Components, Connectivity & Switches, Plastics, Assemblies, Textiles, Leather or Toolings
- Willingness to continuously keep knowledge at a state-of-the-art/best practice level in combination with distinct analytical capabilities, solution-oriented, accurate and self-dependent way of working
- Supportive, ability to work in teams, strong communication skills in an international context with acceptance for traveling
