What you can look forward to as a Hardware Validation Engineer:
- Qualification and release of electrified driveline sub-systems and parts within a project.
- Create DVP&R’s with Design Engineering & Simulation teams based on risk & historical data.
- Define test objectives, specifications, instrumentation requirements, test setups, and acceptance criteria.
- Support Test Operations Teams with test setup, execution, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.
- Perform and document test specimen inspections and characterize test failure modes.
- Interface with OEM customers on application engineering projects and series production topics.
- Manage testing project timelines and track validation project costs and efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement of validation methods, engineering processes, and ZF’s product portfolio.
Your Profile as a Hardware Validation Engineer:
- Bachelor's in Engineering
- 3+ Years experience within automotive powertrain development or related field
- Strong working knowledge of automotive powertrains, measurement systems, and testing methodology
- Ability to interface cross-functionally with all levels of personnel/management, including customers
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently
