Role Summary:
In this role, you will be entrusted with producing and maintaining clear and informative documentation that will serve as a bridge between complex engineering products and the end-users. While direct engineering experience is not mandatory, a strong grasp of technical and engineering principles is essential to effectively communicate with subject matter experts and understand the products you will be documenting.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain precise documentation for engineering-related software and hardware, ensuring information is user-friendly and technically accurate.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to grasp product functionalities and document engineering processes, operational procedures, and system integrations.
- Transform engineering diagrams, technical specifications, and discussions with engineers into detailed user manuals, installation guides, and troubleshooting documents.
- Regularly review and improve existing engineering-focused content, optimizing comprehension and user engagement.
- A Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, or a related field, with a good understanding of technical and engineering concepts.
- 5+ years of technical writing experience, ideally in environments where engineering processes and products are developed.
- Proven ability to decipher complex technical information and craft well-organized, accessible documentation.
- Effective collaboration skills to work alongside engineers and other technical staff, ensuring documentation accuracy and reliability.
