Job description

LSS Holdings is seeking a Technical Support and to bridge the gap between business and IT, encompassing responsibilities such as creating new automation, leveraging key business data for analytical insights, and maintaining existing systems and software. This role also includes scoping new projects, prioritization, planning, and executing project tasks, which may involve activities like digital form creation, automated report generation, and software procurement. Additionally, the Technical Support and will provide Technical Support to end-users, manage company databases, and ensure the smooth functioning of data management systems. Furthermore, they will assist the Business Analyst with daily tasks, marketing content management, and other assigned duties.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to propose alternative solutions to complex problems and operate effectively through collaboration. Many of these projects will span across multiple departments and will require a collaborative effort with department leads who can assist with defining processes, major pain points, and any dependencies. Communication skills will also be vital when it comes to educating end-users in updated or new processes, systems, and tools through virtual training, in-person trainings and written documentation.

While this role doesn't require expertise in any specific programming languages, the role does require a firm grasp on broad programming concepts, such as variables, data types, and if/then statements.

Pay rate starts at $50,000.00

Key Tasks:

  • Develop an understanding of current business processes across all departments.
  • Plan and implement custom automation to streamline processes efficiently.
  • Break down complex projects into smaller, manageable tasks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to define project requirements and scope.
  • Document processes and projects with clear technical documentation and visual aids.
  • Participate in multiple weekly meetings, including presenting analysis results and summarizing conclusions.
  • Maintain open communication with project stakeholders and colleagues, providing comprehensive responses.
  • Handle administrative tasks in business software, including user management and troubleshooting.
  • Apply problem-solving skills that consider business and departmental needs and their impact on individuals.
  • Create various reports and dashboards, often consolidating data from multiple systems.
  • Evaluate potential new business software and map functionality to business needs.
  • Provide Technical Support to technicians and staff experiencing software or computer system issues.
  • Design, implement, and oversee data management systems for quality, security, and performance, including database standards and optimization.
  • Provide assistance on the e-learning platform and Learning Management System (LMS), including configuring user access, ensuring security, training end-users and managing regular data backups for disaster recovery.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in software project management, Technical Support, or database administration, or equivalent roles.
  • An Associate degree or a combination of education and experience in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Proficiency in company software, including Microsoft Office applications (advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel), Zoom, and Chrome.
  • A broad understanding of databases, data integrity, API integrations, and data flow between systems.
  • Self-motivated, Strong organizational and time management skills for handling multiple projects, their timelines, and dependencies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate productive discussions.
  • Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques and proficiency in providing technical-oriented customer service.
  • Working knowledge of common coding languages, such as SQL, JavaScript, and Python.
