This is not a remote position. Hybrid schedule available after training (3 days onsite/2 days remote)

LBX Company LLC, maker of Link-Belt excavators, forestry, demolition, and scrap/material handling equipment, has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Specialist.

Position Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing IT Technical Support, such as PC/Printer troubleshooting and repair, installing various types of desktop software, and responding to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources on the network. The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing support and training for the use of cell phones and desk phones, as well as any additional Technical Support and training for users, as needed.

Essential Functions:

40% - Provide Technical Support by responding to incoming help desk tickets and either assign them to the correct employee for further resolution or resolve problems reported by end users via the helpdesk.

30% - Provide Technical Support for client workstations.

20% - Support and administer computer and cloud applications.

10% - Provide support for cell phones, tablets, desk phones, projectors, surface hubs and other conferencing technologies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Good reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of computer training and how to administer such training to employees.

· Flexibility in performing various tasks and completing special projects as they are assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Associates Degree in Computer Technology with at least two (2) years of experience in network Technical Support preferred.

· Two (2) years of experience working in an IT help desk environment preferred.

· CompTIA A+ and Windows client certification preferred.

· Experience with Office 365, installing and supporting computer applications and Windows client.

· Strong customer service oriented skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibility:

None, but leadership is required.

Success Factors:

· The ability to translate computer jargon into daily language for easy understanding by non-system related personnel.

· Strong interpersonal skills that allow the individual to be both reactive and proactive. Ability to resolve information technology related issues easily, but also able to propose long term, more effective IT solutions.

· Ability to react quickly to resolve problems without supervision.

· Ability to work in a team environment to solve problems and complete projects.

Travel Expectations:

· This role can expect to travel less than 5% of the time both domestically and internationally.

Working Conditions:

· This position requires spending time in a seated position while working at a computer station for extended periods of time. Work also requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

· Occasional exposure to electrical shock risks.

· May occasionally need to access locations via ladder or scissor lift.

· The position may require work after normal work hours to provide IT support.
