- 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master.
- 3+ years of recent experience in Cloud transformation and/or migration projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION
What You Will Do
- 50% on Cloud Initiatives
- 50% on Data Initiatives (The percentages may be rebalanced based on demand.)
You will collaborate closely with the Program Manager and other leaders to ensure the successful delivery of Cloud & Data deliverables and projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships across multiple business units to facilitate execution of work.
- Establishing cross-functional communication channels and KPI metrics.
- Identifying, communicating, and managing dependencies within and across teams.
- Proactively identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, including developing mitigation plans.
- Facilitating quick decision-making processes.
- Helping prioritize workloads and determining trade-offs of scope, budget, and calendar.
- Roadmapping work in partnership with product owners and SMEs within and across teams.
- Negotiating trade-offs between multiple competing priorities.
- Leading daily standup meetings to maintain adherence to timelines and requirements.
- Creating a community for information sharing on successes and challenges within the organization.
- Utilizing agile/adaptable delivery methods for managing large strategic initiatives and smaller enhancement projects.
- Assessing project health and compiling periodic project health reports.
- Managing project financials.
- Potential contract-to-hire opportunity.
Technical Project Manager Role
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master.
- 3+ years of recent experience in Cloud transformation and/or migration projects.
- Experience running data projects.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, models, and services (public, private, hybrid cloud, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Basic understanding of various IT project methodologies and life cycles.
- Ability to think resourcefully, take ownership of tasks, and adapt to shifting business requirements.
- Strong project management skills, including conceptualization, analysis, driving alignment, planning resources, managing milestones and objectives, and Agile practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable making decisions with limited data.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to work effectively in a dispersed team environment.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to influence stakeholders who don't have a direct reporting relationship.
- Leading through ambiguity with the ability to provide teams with clear direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in designing Program Management framework for Cloud initiatives and/or projects.
- Project management certification (PMI/CAPM or PMP/PgMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience working and/or partnering with Cloud Engineers on Cloud implementation.
