The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of a digital grid project, starting from the handover from sales to the delivery team, proceeding through project execution stages, and concluding with closure and eventual handover to the support team. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, initiating, and overseeing information technology (IT) projects, particularly ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) projects with Electrical Utilities. They lead and direct the work of technical staff, function as a bridge between the business and technical aspects of projects, plan project stages, evaluate business implications for each stage, check progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met, and uphold the partnership between Schneider Electric and the client.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of complex, multi-phase DIGITAL GRID projects (typically between $5m and $10m)
- Maintain a high-level knowledge of business processes, challenges, disruptions in the electric distribution industry, as well as the drivers and concerns around the deployment of Operations Technologies including, managing information technology (IT) projects and mainly ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) projects with Electrical Utilitie ADMS, SCADA, OMS, EMS
- Manage project execution through all stages of the SE Customer Project Process (Initiate and Setup, Design, Install and Commission and Closure
- Engages SE Contract Management through all stages of the project for advice on protecting program/project margin while identifying and exploiting opportunities to increase margin
- Conduct effective scope management by assessing client requests against the agreed upon scope of work and negotiates change orders where there are variances
- Identify project stakeholders and strategizes approaches to stakeholder management
- Prepare monthly Project Review PowerPoint presentation and presents to digital grid leadership as required
- Conduct internal project kick-off meetings covering business drivers, schedule, key contractual terms, penalties & bonuses, risks, issues, stakeholders, and other project initiation items
- Establishes External & Internal Change Order Management procedures
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience with managing ADMS/OMS/SCADA/DER software implementation projects
- Demonstrated knowledge of electric utilities, especially in IT/OT
- Expert in the use of MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other software tools used for project management
- Knowledge of financial aspects of project management including standard project KPIs
- Data base user interface and query software
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software or Workfront to plan resources
- Project management software (Microsoft Project)
Knowledge:
- Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
- Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
