Role and Responsibilities
- Develop project management plans, schedules, budgets, and team management practices to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of multiple projects.
- Identifying opportunities and solutions to optimize projects and internal business operations
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
- Provide reports to executives and internal leadership on project progress, challenges, and areas for improvement
- Develop change management plans for projects or other initiatives, evaluates the impact of organizational change, identifies, and address potential risk, and manages anticipated resistance to change.
- Identify and communicate project risks and appropriately mitigating risk utilizing and a mitigation plan
- Creating unity across project team members and effectively managing consistent, cohesive communication between all parties
- Initiating and running project meetings designed to minimize challenges and maximize efficiency
- Properly document meeting action items and decisions and maintaining project artifacts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities, while driving decisions and alignment with leadership, direct reports, and cross-functional teams
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status weekly and monthly based on project need.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and coordinate permits and licenses on behalf of the client.
- Serves as prime contact on contracts or projects through all phases of development
- Creates, builds, and develops interpersonal relationships between D2D, clients, and vendors.
- Effectively manages a variety of work to required standards of quality, quantity, and timeliness.
- Initiate, develop, coordinate, and implement strategic product implementation and maintenance plans.
- Contributes to D2D growth by sourcing work through net new and/or existing clients
- Travel based on client need, resource availability, and within CDC recommended safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Extensive leadership experience managing both direct and indirect reports and vendor resources.
- Innate problem-solvers who want to grow in a flexible, collaborative culture.
- Candidates with a growth mindset who want to see their networking and relationship-building skills to increase expansion.
- Entrepreneurial spirit for tenaciously and proactively solving project challenges and enhancing the client experience.
- Minimum three years management experience in the IT field, including development work and interaction with customers.
Preferred Skills
- 5 or more years of project management experience
- Experience with Yardi, JD Edwards, Great Plains, Entrata, RealPage, MRI, Salesforce, and HRIS systems such as UKG UltiPro, ISIMS and other similar software.
- Relevant certification in project management (PMP, ITIL, CMM, etc.) are preferred but not required.
D2D Consultant Expectations
- Consultants are expected to be prepared for the workday and report or events/meetings on time. In instances when employees cannot avoid being late or are unable to work as scheduled, they are to notify their supervisor as soon as possible. Employees must also communicate to the client(s) of any delays. Frequent or unscheduled absences and repeated lateness may result in disciplinary action.
- Consultants are expected to resent a clean, neat, and tasteful appearance appropriate to their position whenever representing D2D.
- Consultants are required to submit work time into the tine management system by the end of every Friday in order to receive payment,
- During work hours, employees are to conduct duties related to their jobs at D2D.
- Consultants are not to conduct work for competitors unless authorized to do so.
- Theft, unauthorized removal, negligence, destruction, or misuse of D2D property, property of D2D colleagues, or D2D clients is prohibited.
- Consultants who are members of outside professional organizations are to ensure that their involvement in those organizations does not negatively affect their ability to perform their job duties.
- Consultants will communicate regularly to direct management and report status of all projects on a minimum of a weekly basis.
