As a Technical Product Manager - Product Innovation, you will be responsible for collaborating with the leaders of our Product Innovation teams including, Digital Product Creation (DPC), Product Design, Material Development, Quality and Product Development to identify and implement new technologies as well as advance and support the current systems they use including 3D and related tools. Your primary objective will be to understand the needs and challenges of the teams to identify industry leading technologies that support the advancement of their processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, marketing/storytelling and IT, to optimize our systems used through the product development process.
What You'll Do
- Technology Strategy for Product Innovation
- Leverage industry knowledge and technical expertise to identify best-in-class and emerging technologies to meet and exceed the requirements of our Product Innovation teams.
- Drive technology roadmap for Product and Storytelling to support the integration of 3D technologies into the product design and development processes, enabling faster prototyping, visualization, and collaboration.
- Identify, evaluate and support implementation of tools for Visual Line Planning and a Go to Market Global Calendar from material creation to sales meeting.
- Technical Product Management
- Collaborate with Product Innovation and IT teams to define and refine system requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical feasibility, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of Product Innovation systems, addressing technical challenges, and support workflow optimization.
- Reduce and limit technical debt by aligning and optimizing the use of Product Innovation technologies across the organization and adopting company standards within the Product Innovation teams.
- Provide expertise on hardware infrastructure needs to optimize the user experience across the Digital Product Creation team.
- Integration of 3D Technology
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in 3D technology and its applications within the outdoor apparel industry.
- Partner with the Digital Product Creation leaders to support the adoption and implementation of 3D technology to improve collaboration, streamline processes, and accelerate the time-to-market for our products.
- Performance Tracking and Optimization:
- Analyze data and user feedback to derive insights, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize the Product Innovation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement testing methodologies and continuous improvement processes across the Product Innovation technology landscape.

Experience You Bring
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration
- 10+ years successful Technical Product management experience, preferably in the outdoor apparel industry
- In-depth knowledge of Product Innovation technologies and their application in the outdoor apparel industry, including 3D, Visual Line Planning, Digital Asset Management, Product Line Management and other related systems
- Understanding of Agile product development methodologies and best practices and experience working with design and manufacturing teams
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Hiring Range: $175,000-$190,000
Pay Range: $130,000-$196,000
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
