Technical Product Manager

This position pays between 115k-130k CAD.

The Role

Bankjoy is looking for a versatile Technical Product Manager/Product Owner to join our expanding team. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of strategic insight and tactical execution, encompassing responsibilities of both a Product Manager and a Product Owner. The successful candidate will oversee the development of Bankjoy's consumer digital banking products, focusing on API integration and services, and will also manage our Bankjoy admin portal for B2B apps.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for Bankjoy's Open API platform and the admin portal for Bankjoy apps.

• Manage product backlogs, write user stories, and oversee sprint planning and daily scrum activities for both consumer and B2B products.

• Collaborate with designers, developers, and system architects to create and refine API solutions and admin portal functionalities.

• Engage with community financial institutions and their customers to gather insights and feedback for both product lines.

• Work closely with UI/UX designers to optimize user experiences across consumer and B2B applications.

• Communicate the functionality and benefits of our products internally and externally.

• Shape the culture and processes within Bankjoy's product development team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality outputs.

• Oversee implementation tasks, address technical issues, and maintain streamlined product backlogs for both product lines.

• Assist with PCI, SOC II compliance, and multi tenancy migration projects.

What you bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product management and/or product ownership, with a strong focus on API development or enterprise software.

• Demonstrated experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning and backlog management.

• Experience in managing B2B products, in Fintech.

• In-depth understanding of authentication technologies such as SAML and OAuth 2.0 / Open ID Connect.

• Strong capability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, and to work effectively with diverse teams.

• Familiarity with Canadian banking industry regulations and compliance standards is an advantage.

• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and overseeing the lifecycle of technically complex products, from inception through launch and iterative improvements.

• Experience with access management product design is an advantage.
