About the Role
As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy and driving the development of high-quality software and hardware solutions. You will be responsible for identifying key organizational gaps and driving solutions through the project and program management team. This is a leadership role that demands technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving innovation. This is a global leadership position and will play a pivotal role in Packsize technology and innovation.
What you'll do
- Implement and adapt product development life cycle process
- Curate template for NPIs and sustaining needs
- Facilitate monthly stage gate review meetings
- Facilitate PTISO Extended Staff and manage agenda horizon
- Manage global team of program and project managers
- Coach and develop company wide on product development methodologies
- Monitor engineering budget and report out to PTISO leadership
- Facilitate quarterly program/product operations reviews
- Plan and coordinate bi-annual product/R&D planning meetings
- Bring in systems and structures to help PTISO office to grow and scale at a global level
- Work closely with Hardware and software directors for executing development projects.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record (10+ years) of leading software and hardware development teams and successfully delivering complex products.
- Strong technical expertise in hardware design, development methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong expertise in program and project management in an industrial automation environment.
- Strong expertise in financial management and financial systems.
- Strong expertise in software architecture, development methodologies, and best practices.
- Extensive experience with automation tools, technologies, and process improvement.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience in the Automation and/or Manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Should bring a strong knowledge of design thinking mindsets and lean principles and understands, and is comfortable, with waterfall and agile project management principles.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Access to work from a home office that will be used for video conferencing.
