Job Summary
This position serves in a director capacity in the KCTCS Financial Support Services department within Administrative Services. Primary responsibilities include management and functional oversight of PeopleSoft Student Financials System and supervision of two staff.
This is a defined-term contract position renewable each fiscal year and located in Versailles, KY.
This position may offer a hybrid work schedule.
Job Duties:
Oversight of all daily maintenance functions of the Student Financial System to include daily batch processing, item type maintenance, student residual processing and all other functions necessary for daily operations.
Development, testing and implementation of PeopleSoft Student Financial Administrative Software, (PUM quarterly updates which may require extended testing in off business hours/weekends).
Management of Student Financial accounting, to include maintain receivables and allowance for bad debt, and processing of all student related accounting transactions. Manage third party vendors for student residuals, payment plans and past due payment plans.
Provide training, support, and documentation on appropriate use of the Student Financial system to management and college personnel.
Act as liaison for Administrative Services with other KCTCS staff responsible for student administration to include financial aid, student records, budget and financial planning, accounting, Technology Solutions, Chancellor and KCTCS President.
Develop, maintain, and support all reporting needs required by management and college staff necessary for the successful management of Student Financial data and reporting.
Assist in KCTCS policy and procedure development and implementation for student administration issues and requirements and assist as and where needed for other cross functional matters.
Oversee student related Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reporting requirement, specifically production of 1098-T forms to include management of third-party vendor services required to complete the process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Accounting or Information Technology and six (6) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Accounting or Information Technology and seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
