Who we're looking for
The Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Treasury Systems team is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Technical Consultant - Treasury Systems.
Reporting to the National Manager of Treasury Systems, the primary responsibility of this role is to monitor TFS Treasury systems and related processes while interacting with various stakeholders within TFS and its affiliates in Canada and Mexico that use Wall Street Suite (WSS) as their core treasury management system and configure for any new business needs. The Treasury Systems team performs validation of data configurations to ensure the processing and accounting of financial and commercial transactions with various counterparties such as banks, dealers, vendors, TFS affiliates and tax authorities are completed without error. This person should be able to work independently and in a team environment with various internal customers to configure, administer and facilitate financial and commercial transaction requests from other TFS businesses. The person should have advanced understanding of project management, accounting, and treasury functions.

What you'll be doing
- Assist in the administration, configuration, and monitoring of WSS on a daily basis which includes new configuration and testing of the transaction, cash, and accounting modules to meet various customer needs.
- Assist in the execution of month end close processes.
- Work with various business partners to design systems solutions for treasury and cash management needs that may include the use of WSS or custom application development.
- Create, maintain, and monitor custom reports required by various stakeholders.
- Maintain and provide appropriate configuration, testing, and approval documentation as part of the department's documented internal control structure.
- Assist with gathering any support or documentation required for quarterly/annual audit request.
- Perform application defect investigation and resolution related to transaction processing, cash settlements, and accounting processing within WSS.
- Perform quality assurance testing as needed.
- Perform data analysis using Treasury Systems tools and SQL.
- Research and resolve issues impacting any of WSS end users.
- Collaborate with other departments across the company and communicate effectively with system stakeholders to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Participate in the development or revision of WSS processes and procedures when necessitated by new programs, products, or operational processes.
- Participate in system or technical updates, any upgrades, patches, and fixes.
- Review, evaluate, and execute process improvements.
What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Progressive work experience in accounting, finance or treasury field
- Must be Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative; ability to multi-task
- Ability to quickly learn new applications or software tools
- Knowledge of project management best practices and experience working on accounting systems projects or similar
- Working knowledge of Treasury Management Systems preferably Wall Street Suite
- Knowledge of ERP Systems preferably SAP
Added bonus if you have
- MBA or Master Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
- Strong working knowledge of Wall Street Suite
- Working experience with JIRA
