Job Title: VMware Security Hardening Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a VMware Security Hardening Specialist to join our team and assist in securing our VMware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing and managing security controls in a VMware environment and be able to work collaboratively within IT and security teams to ensure that our VMware environment is secure and compliant with industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct security assessments of our VMware infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
Develop and implement security hardening procedures for the VMware environment, including configuration and patch management, user access control, network segmentation, and system monitoring.
Collaborate with the IT and security teams to ensure that security policies and procedures are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain documentation related to security hardening procedures and security controls in the VMware environment.
Keep up-to-date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the VMware environment and make recommendations for proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
Experience in conducting security assessments and vulnerability testing in a VMware environment.
Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and associated technologies.
Experience with security frameworks and regulations such as NIST, CIS, and PCI-DSS.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Professional certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or CISSP are a plus.
