Teaching Assistant Job Description
Pay Range: $13.50 - $19 based on experience

Teaching Assistant Duties:

Wings of Change Therapy Inc is a therapeutic day center for children with special needs.

-High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
-Previous experience working with children in an educational (daycare, preschool, middle school, high school) setting is a plus
-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
-Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of different ages and backgrounds
-Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

-Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.

-Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job.

-Ability to take direction

-Ability to multi-task

-Ability to be on-site in the classroom every day

-Work hours are 8 -4 daily (can vary due to bussing)
