Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team for the 24/25 School Year in McVeytown, PA. This is an in-person position that will require travel to Mifflin, Huntingdon, Juniata, and Fulton counties. The TVI will work 37.5 hours per week and will be responsible for a caseload of 20-30 students, ranging from Preschool Early Intervention to 12th grade. Sessions will range from 30 to 75 minutes. This position requires a non-negotiable onsite presence and an Educator Credential in Visual Impairment (K-12).
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other educators and specialists to meet the needs of students.
- Travel to multiple counties to provide services to students.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress.
Qualifications:
- Educator Credential in Visual Impairment (K-12).
- Previous experience working with students with visual impairments.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple counties for work.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and specialists.
