Job Summary
Instruct students enrolled at the Lloyd P. Hance Community School to develop feelings of self-worth, attain self-discipline and accept personal responsibility in decision making; to become useful and accepted in the community, to improve academic skills and provide career and vocational awareness/education. The Lloyd P. Hance Community School offers a variety of different educational settings, including remote independent study, depending on the student's needs and reason for attending.
This position will serve in the 2024-25 School Year.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education:
• Hold or be eligible for a valid California Teaching Credential requiring a Bachelor's degree.
• Multiple subject authorization with CLAD Certification and passage of CSET is also qualifying.
Experience:
• Preference will be given to individuals with classroom experience in working directly with and training in the guidance of at-risk youth

Comments and Other Information
The employee will be a member of the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS); LCOE does not participate in the Social Security system.
Benefits will include:
• Longevity Pay (Years: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35)
• Paid Sick Leave (80 hours per year/prorated based on service days/hours)
• STRS Retirement plan contributions
• Employer Paid Life Insurance (employee only)
• Air Ambulance Membership
• Annual Health & Welfare benefits cap $17,500: includes medical, prescription, dental, and vision for the employee and all eligible dependents based on the tier of coverage selected by the employee (the employee's out-of-pocket contribution amount will vary based on their selection); employees may purchase coverage through a 125-Cafeteria plan.
