About the ICC School:

The Islamic Center of Claremont School (ICCS), accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), provides PreK-Grade 8 education. Our mission is to nurture intellectual growth within a comprehensive academic program, deeply rooted in both American and Islamic scholarly traditions.

Job Summary:

Due to increased enrollment, ICCS seeks to expand our team with an additional Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and adept in integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) into the curriculum. The candidate should have proven experience in preschool education within an Islamic/religious school setting and be committed to fostering a learning environment that aligns with Islamic values. This position is designed to complement our existing educational team, providing enhanced learning experiences for our growing student body.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement a preschool curriculum that incorporates STEAM and Islamic principles, supporting the holistic development of our students.
• Engage children in interactive activities that promote curiosity and a love for learning.
• Effectively manage classroom dynamics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
• Conduct assessments to monitor children’s progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about student achievements and areas for growth.
• Work collaboratively with the current teaching staff to share best practices and contribute to the school's mission.
• Attend professional development sessions and actively participate in school-wide events and meetings.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
• Certificate in Early Childhood education is a must.
• Previous experience in a preschool setting, ideally within an Islamic educational context.
• Enthusiasm for STEAM education and its application in early childhood learning.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English. Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to create a nurturing, engaging, and educational classroom environment.
