Tax Systems Analyst

Duration: 4 Months Contract
Work Schedule: Hybrid role with current on-site days Wed. & Thurs.
Description/Comment:
This position will assist with identifying the technology needs of Tax to allow support to our businesses and the rapidly changing external tax regulatory landscape. This role will assist with Tax system updates/enhancements and Tax Service integration projects partnering closely with tax and non-tax business partners (Technology, Finance, Controllership and Financial System partners). Examples of relevant Tax Service projects this person will manage include Front-of-House sales system integrations to Vertex, Tax Data Lake expansion, Finance Optimization initiatives and other large-scale business integration projects.
Responsibilities:
· Will assist in Unified Platform Phase 2 BRIM testing.
· Supports tax aspects of major business initiatives (e.g., Streaming rollout, Hulu integration) including requirement planning, testing, communication & training.
· Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and documentation of all tax applications (Vertex, SAP, BRIM, IAP taxability, Work Front, etc.)
· Assist with Indirect Tax Data Lake implementation and design strategy.
· Provides data for audit support across Tax.
· Further, develop and grow the technology skills of the wider tax team to enable the Tax Function of the Future via ongoing communication, training, skill development support, and tool access and training.
· Anticipate possible internal and external environment changes and assess whether the technology solutions and teams are prepared to address future needs.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a field similar to those listed and 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
· Preferred candidates may have advanced degree or on a path toward licensing as a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI) OR Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
· Experience with data tools that enable transformation and analysis of large data volumes also a plus. Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns, PTMS, OneSource, Python experience is a plus.
Additional Information
· This is a hybrid, on-site role with the current days being Wed. and Thurs.
· Interview will be a Zoom with a Tax Systems Manager.
· Alteryx experience and SAP BRIM experience needed.
· Indirect tax experience stressed as well.
