- Prepare federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership returns
- Research tax issues
- Reconciliation of book to tax income
- Analyze depreciation methods
- Assist in tax planning and projections
- Put forth a diligent effort to pass CPA Exam and advance technical knowledge
- Keep current on professional pronouncements
- Maintain annual CPE requirement
- Timely communication to all members of engagement team and appropriate client personnel
- Act as a representative of Marcum, and help identify and recruit candidates
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam
- A minimum of one to three years of relevant work experience in a professional services or professional tax organization
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Able to problem solve and think both creatively and logically.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
