Tax Preparer

We are a rapidly growing tax practice in Gig Harbor, WA currently seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team. This position is full time during the busy season mid-January through April 15 and August through October 15th. This position is part-time flexible during the remainder of the year. 

A hybrid candidate is preferred (mix of working from home and local office), however remote will be considered for the right candidate.

Duties:

• Prepare and review individual tax returns (possibly some business and trust returns)
• Research of tax issues and implementation of resolutions or recommendations
• Staying current on developments and changes to the tax laws
• Review of client financial records in preparation of tax returns

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in tax preparation
• Experience using tax software and QuickBooks accounting software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills and proficient with virtual technology
• Extremely organized with attention to detail
