What you'll do
As the Senior Tax Analyst, you'll assist the tax and finance teams with all aspects of Authentic's tax compliance, provision, audit, and planning matters. Reporting directly to the Senior Tax Manager at Authentic's NYC headquarters, you'll partner cross-functionally with internal colleagues and external advisors to facilitate timely and efficient compliance, mitigate risk, and implement strategic planning.
What you'll be working on
- Collaboratively assist Authentic's internal tax team and Big 4 tax preparers/advisors with preparation and filing of the Company's domestic and international income tax returns, along with related investor reporting
- Maintain Authentic's tax compliance calendar to support timely filing of quarterly estimates, extensions, and tax filings, which include multiple federal Forms 1065 and 1120, numerous SALT partnership and corporate income/franchise, foreign entity, state/local gross receipts, and indirect tax returns
- Gather information from cross-functional colleagues, compile business, financial, and tax data, and prepare schedules supporting the Company's tax compliance and FIN 48/ASC 740 tax provision
- Prepare workpapers and forms for non-income tax filings including Washington B&O, Ohio CAT, sales/use, NYC CRT, and related documents such as transaction tax exemption certificates
- Track federal/SALT tax audit notices and assist with responding to information document requests (IDRs)
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure tax payments are properly recorded in the general ledger
- Assist with preparation of tax trial balances to facilitate calculation of quarterly/annual tax provisions
- Support preparation of the income tax footnote and related financial statement tax disclosures
- Conduct research to support the Company's tax positions and monitor legislative/regulatory changes regarding various areas, including transfer pricing, nexus, WHT, FTC, amortization/depreciation, and ECI
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field - MST, CPA, and/or MBA a plus
- 2-4 years of tax accounting/compliance experience with a Top 20 national public accounting firm
- Big 4 background a plus; Tax accounting/compliance experience with tiered partnerships a plus
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional Excel skills with demonstrated capability to learn new software and financial systems
- Highly organized, intellectually curious, collaborative, adaptable, and committed to professional excellence
Primary Location Salary:
$90,000 - $115,000
