The position
By joining our team in CFO Functional Center of Excellence you will have the opportunity to:- Contribute to Tax Compliance deliveries for Equinor’s US portfolio, the Company’s largest international position outside of Norway
- Play a key role in supporitng and managing federal and state tax audits, serving as a key resource and contact point for regulatory authorities
- Lead the compilation of documentation essential for federal audits, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and accessibility for a seamless audit process
- Swiftly respond to Information Document Requests from federal and state taxing authorities, demonstrating expertise in Tax Compliance and regulatory requirements
- Interface with internal stakeholders and external service providers, fostering strong relationships and facilitating effective communication to streamline audit resolution processes
- Collaborate with and support as appropriate the broader Equinor tax functions to ensure smooth operations for tax accounting and reporting
This position offers a hybrid/flexible work option in addition to a 9/80 schedule. Equinor’s flexible work policy is focused on combining work from the office with work done outside the office, in a virtual way. Hybrid working arrangements are to be aligned and approved by the Line Manager. This position is not eligible for 100% remote.

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of Tax Compliance and resolution experience
- Experience in a major corporation or accounting firm
- Familiarity with SAP (Preferred)
- CPA certification (Preferred)
- Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Up to 10% travel requirement domestically
