Summary/Objective: 
The Industrial Drug & Alcohol Compliance Specialist will perform various functions, including serving as a subject matter expert on compliance issues related to the drug and alcohol program and its various testing procedures. The Industrial Drug & Alcohol Compliance Specialist will perform several HR tasks related to unemployment claims and running reports to ensure HR systems integrity. Assistance with these Transactional Compliance tasks, audits, and projects will allow me to focus on all Compliance Initiatives, i.e., policies and procedures, revisions for USADebusk, and all subsidiaries of USA Debusk, LLC (i.e., Nitro-Lift, Farr Front, Debusk Services Canada),  Education and Training, Post Accident Testing (FMCSA/PHMSA), Reasonable Suspicion Supervisor Training, Drafting Work Instructions for Branch Administrator for DER’s, Risk Assessment, Corrective Action, Post Accident Oral Fluid Training  for Safety and other essential personnel, reviewing and reconciling invoices for New Hire Candidates that were not hired. I will have the opportunity to review invalid test records and identify employees with background scores that affect access to potential customers, develop client library with site requirements.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage compliance procedures for drug and alcohol testing and enforce policy according to drug policies per job site, including random, follow-up, for suspicion, DOT, post-accident, pre-employment, and pre-access drug screening.
  • Responsible for the random selection program (DDCHA, DCCHT, FMSCA, and DCCOF) 
  • Provide compliance metrics to regional and branch managers.
  • Provide support to DOT Manager with regards to MVR’s, DQ files and DOT verifications
  • Provide Operations support to maintain compliance with all customer requirements through TPA’s.
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering compliance-related training and communications to employees.
  • Manage employee rosters.
  • Manage drug screen follow up program.
  • Run background checks through multiple screening entities, including specific customer requests.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures for compliance role.
  • Code Invoices, handle monthly allowance allocations.
  • Set up clinics as needed.
  • Maintain contact with clinics to ensure Chain of Custody forms are in stock and up to date.
  • Respond to unemployment claims, schedule appeals.
  • Run system reports for various auditing purposes.
  • Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes and/or developments and ensure changes to rules and regulations are restructured with appropriate systems, policies, and practices.
  • Running all Safety Employees, Sales, Corporate/Field Employees, and VP’s background check every two years
  • HASC and entering the dates EHS Insight.
  • Running MVR / Updating Driving Status in ADP / Entering MVR date in EHS Insight.
  • Senior Reporting.
  • Manage Random Programs Reporting.
  • Manage Substance Abuse Participation.
  • FMCSA Policy Participation (Internal Audit).
  • PHMSA Policy Participation (Internal Audit).
  • Occupation Records Retention.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • DISA experience required, ASAP/OSCA experience preferred. (TPA experience)
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • Time management and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently (self-starter). 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to meet all daily and weekly deadlines. 
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned. 
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
