John D Jordan CPA is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our virtual team. Work is remote with flexible, full time or part time hours.

To succeed in this role, you need to have comprehensive knowledge of tax planning, tax preparation, and small business accounting. Our ideal candidate is extremely professional, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Coordinate with clients on income tax research and planning strategies
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations
- Develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes
- Respond to tax and accounting related issues and notices
- Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients
- Build friendships and strong work relationships while gaining valuable experience

Successful candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience as a public accountant
- CPA certification or EA (Enrolled Agent) is a requirement
- Outstanding tax knowledge of local, state and federal regulations
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Solid understanding of accounting software and MS Office
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
- Prefer someone living in North Carolina
- Prefer experience with Intuit’s Pro Tax Online or Lacerte Tax software, and QuickBooks Online. (We are a very Technology driven firm that utilizes several online applications)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
