This is primarily a work-from-home opportunity, with quarterly in-office staff meetings and gatherings. A strong internet connection is essential for accessing software and conducting Zoom meetings.
We are a professional and established local accounting firm seeking a motivated individual to join our high-functioning office team. As trusted business advisors, we provide tax, accounting, and payroll services to a diverse client base. Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise Bookkeeping Specialist
Perform accounting tasks, including General Ledger account analysis and reconciliation
Accurately prepare, reconcile, and verify accounting information for multiple clients
Prepare business and individual income tax returns for multiple clients, identifying potential tax credits and liabilities
Ensure timely and accurate filings of sales and use tax, 1099, and other required federal, state, or local filings
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Undertake other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required
Requirements
3-5 years of Accounting and Tax Preparation experience
Enrolled Agent certification is a plus
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
Positive and energetic attitude
Highly collaborative and able to work well in a team
Solution-oriented with a can-do attitude
Passion and ability to improve processes
Experience with Canopy Practice Management software is a plus
Experience with Ultra Tax software is a plus
