Job Description:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in the recruitment and selection process for our mid-sized multisite clinical research site organization. This position is responsible for full-cycle recruiting of remote and site-based employees at all levels, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process to support the organization's staffing needs across multiple locations. Reporting to the HR Manager or Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will leverage recruiting strategies, tools, and resources to attract top talent and build a diverse and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to understand staffing requirements, job specifications, and recruitment timelines for various positions.
- Develop comprehensive recruitment strategies and sourcing plans to attract qualified candidates through diverse channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
- Utilize data analytics and market research to identify trends, benchmark recruitment metrics, and optimize recruitment processes.
2. Candidate Sourcing and Screening:
- Proactively source, screen, and evaluate candidates using a variety of sourcing techniques, such as resume review, phone screens, virtual interviews, and assessment tools.
- Conduct pre-employment assessments, background checks, and reference checks to ensure candidate suitability and alignment with organizational values and culture.
- Maintain candidate pipelines and talent pools for current and future hiring needs, utilizing applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment CRM tools.
3. Interview Coordination and Selection:
- Coordinate interview schedules and logistics for candidates and hiring teams, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process.
- Facilitate interview debrief meetings and provide timely feedback to candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit, making recommendations for selection decisions and job offers.
4. Employer Branding and Candidate Experience:
- Represent the organization at recruitment events, job fairs, and networking forums to promote employer brand awareness and enhance candidate engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities, industry associations, and recruitment agencies, to expand talent pipelines and enhance recruitment effectiveness.
- Continuously improve the candidate experience by implementing best practices in communication, transparency, and responsiveness throughout the recruitment process.
5. Recruitment Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate conversion rates, and source effectiveness, to measure recruitment performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards on recruitment KPIs and trends, providing insights and recommendations to HR leadership and hiring teams.
- Collaborate with HR analytics team to leverage data-driven insights for strategic workforce planning and Talent Acquisition initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, recruitment, or HR roles, preferably in healthcare, clinical research, or life sciences industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruiting processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, selection, and onboarding.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment CRM platforms, and HRIS software; experience with Paycor or similar systems preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to recruitment and selection activities.
