The Systems & Network Administrator manages and maintains our internal networks, Microsoft Windows domains, and Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem, and plays a crucial role in the strategic planning and execution of new technologies and solutions. The Systems Administrator also ensures optimal system performance, contributes to disaster recovery, business continuity and other risk mitigation plans, provides advanced technical support, and works collaboratively with various teams to align IT infrastructure with the company’s strategic growth objectives. This role is integral to maintaining the seamless operation and security of our current and future IT systems and directly supports Etnyre’s purpose of improving lives through a commitment to our Mission, Vision and Values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network and Systems Management:
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of internal networks across multiple sites.
- Manage Microsoft Windows domains for the multiple business units.
- Ensure optimal performance and security of all networked systems.
- Microsoft 365 Collaboration Ecosystem Oversight:
- Administer and optimize the use of Microsoft Office 365 for email, collaboration, and productivity.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Software Implementation Support:
- Play a key role in the deployment of new enterprise software, including a cloud-based ERP system and PDM/PLM solution.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of new technologies and solutions.
- Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution:
- Assist in deploying and managing a new enterprise disaster recovery solution.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss and achievement of RPO/RTO targets.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide high-level technical support for network and system-related issues.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to prevent disruptions.
- IT Infrastructure Analysis and Upgrade:
- Regularly assess the IT infrastructure and recommend upgrades or improvements.
- Stay abreast of new technology trends that could benefit the company.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the IT team and other departments to align IT infrastructure with business goals.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical staff to understand and meet their IT needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience as a Systems & Network Administrator, with a preference for experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification preferred.
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft Windows domains and Microsoft 365.
- Experience implementing and administering cloud-based SaaS solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from Oregon, IL.
- Willingness to travel within North America occasionally and availability for limited weekend and night work as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have ability to effectively access all work areas in area of responsibility. Occasional walking, bending, twisting, carrying and/or lifting to 20 pounds (and periodically heavier loads).
