SAIC is seeking a motivatedSystems Engineer to join our team supporting the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Program in Huntsville, AL. The IBCS Program plays a critical role in advancing air and missile defense capabilities, providing a network-centric environment for enhanced battlefield awareness and defense measures. As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the integration and functionality of IBCS while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective systems to our military personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Support system integration, verification, and functional checkout for IBCS, ensuring adherence to specifications and operational requirements.
- Assist in the design and execution of test plans to validate system performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and implement solutions.
- Assist in analyzing test data, documenting findings, and suggesting system improvements.
- Provide support as a Field Service Representative (FSR) during system fielding and delivery.
- Up to 25% travel to CONUS and potential OCONUS locations, as needed.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
Required Experience:
- Understanding of air and missile defense command and control systems.
- Experience using tatcial based systems for systems integration and verification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver complex tactical training and support.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with tactical air and missile defense systems.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing and TCP/IP protocols.
- Exposure to Linux operating systems.
