Description
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and deployment of surface surveillance systems and services.
- Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and concepts relating to engineering and engineering methods of construction.
- Assess site requirements, coordinate planning, and ensure implementation activities are efficiently and effectively completed.
- Develops and recommends techniques to address problem situations.
- Ensure development of technical products to support investment decisions and to facilitate the acquisition process.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Experience leading a technical team on one or more air traffic control surface surveillance programs related to implementation planning and management.
· In-depth knowledge of FAA standards and specifications.
· Participation in all phases of the design, test, and implementation activities related to surface surveillance systems.
· Prior experience supporting contractor acceptance inspections and joint acceptance inspections.
· Prior experience coordinating site implementation activities with FAA organizations.
- A BS in an engineering discipline, to include but not limited to: system, aviation, aeronautical, aerospace, electrical, mechanical, environmental, computer (to include computer science), industrial, human factors, etc. is required.
