Epic Systems Analyst
Full Time, Days. 40 hours/week.
Remote work will be considered for the right candidates. Both Temporary and Permanent positions are available.
Pay Range is between $27.34-$62.58/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience.

We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and organized Epic Systems Analyst to join our Clinical applications team. Responsibilities include: the analysis, design, implementation, education, and support of assigned Epic application software. The Systems Analyst – Epic will understand the functions and processes of customer departments and then analyze, design, implement, educate, and assist the customers in the use of the software systems at Boulder Community Health (BCH). This work will be done while maintaining and/or improving patient safety, quality, workflow, and cost containment. In addition, the Systems Analyst – Epic will support hospital initiatives, compliance, data for regulatory bodies and the viability of BCH.

Epic Analyst experience and certification are highly preferred at time of hire. A certification or approved alternative will be required upon six months of hire. Epic user experience (clinical experience) is desired. Candidates will be required to complete an Epic aptitude test called the Sphinx test.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education or Formal Training
Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes System/User Needs
- Acts as the primary support contact for the application's end-users
- Identifies issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them
- Guides workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with EHR software
- Identifies and implements requested changes to the system
- Serves as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and implementation staff
- Maintains regular communication, including participating in project team meetings
- Works with EHR representatives, BCH's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline
Develops & Implements Project Plans
- Creates and executes project plans, estimates timeframes, outlines specific tasks and identifies resources needed to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
- Assists customer departments with the implementation of clinical information systems.
- Monitors progress to keep projects on track by conducting regular project meetings and following up with areas that need assistance.
- Prepares and submits project documentation (i.e., risk management plan, communication plan, project status reports, etc.) to the assigned project manager and/or the Chief Information Officer.
